Yoga for People having experienced Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI)
Weekly chair yoga classes are ongoing, Mondays is the gentle class 12 - 1 pm and Wednesdays is the moderate class from 9 - 10:15 am. Please contact Stephanie directly to register.
The 12-week Yoga Program for TBI's sponsored by the Teaching for Equity International Yoga Alliance Foundation Grant successfully concluded in June 2022.
If you are someone that has experienced a TBI or have a loved one that has experienced a TBI and are looking for private yoga classes, you are welcome to contact Stephanie directly.
Start Where You Are
Feel stronger in body and clearer in mind with this weekly chair yoga program! Learn tools to cultivate new habits to feel better more often. Each class will build on each other to improve the neuroplasticity of the brain with mindful yoga, balance, breathwork, energy movements and a growth mindset.
Class is for those needing a low impact wellness class at various levels of mobility. Must be medically stable and able to partake in exercise. Caregivers, medical providers, loved ones and friends are welcome to join!

Stephanie Congo is honored to have recently been nominated to the Governor-appointed Tennessee TBI Advisory Council by Governor Bill Lee. She has been selected as the survivor representative on the council. This is a two-year appointment and expires December 31, 2023.

This 12 week yoga program is supported by a Yoga Alliance Foundation Teaching For Equity (TFE) 2022 Grant. Special thanks to the Tennessee Traumatic Brain Injury Service Coordinators for all their support and help in promoting this program. Program will be taught virtually on Zoom out of Memphis, Tennessee.
